FREE Somatic Practice Gatherings for More Secure Relationships

Now more than ever, we need relationships that can weather storms. Let’s practice!

Somatic Relationship Practices & Community

Colonization has shaped our relationships in a way that reinforces hyper individualism, disconnection, and exile over repair. Through interpersonal & systemic trauma, we lose capacity to hold the natural nuance that comes with relationship. Imagine relationships where conflict was uncomfy but not so terrifying that it leads to all-consuming, brain-cramping rumination (and ultimately avoidance and relationship disintegration). Imagine having more space in your nervous system to differentiate old trauma from the person right in front of you. We hope you’ll join us so we can practice together!

We are deeply wired for life-giving relationships; our bodies just need to remember how.

In a time where systems of power and control are doubling down, let’s fortify what they can’t take — our innate ability to create life-giving, reciprocal relationship patterns. Coming back into relationship is not only healing; it’s resistance.

Complex relationship trauma shrinks our capacity, meaning that our relationship patterns become shaped by survival strategies — very black/white and easy-to-singe. This is nothing you did wrong; it’s just healthy, functional survival energy frozen in time.

Somatic practices are powerful allies for releasing survival energy from the past, and for helping your nervous system know that more life-giving relationships are now available to you. We hope you’ll practice with us — see all info and registration below!

Heal. So we don’t have another generation of trauma passing itself off as culture.”

Session #1 — October 13th

“Is it a red flag or my trauma?”

When we’re traumatized, it’s harder to differentiate between discomfort and actual danger. In this session, we’ll practice skills designed to help your nervous system begin differentiating between old signals from ghosts of the past, a safe enough person being imperfect, and when you actually do need to run.

Session #2 — October 20th

Staying Connected through Conflict & Complexity

In this session, we’ll dive deeper into recognizing sensations of discomfort, stretchiness, and actual danger. We’ll move through somatic practices to help your nervous system learn how to stay in relation while uncomfortable, vs. the survival-based urge to disconnect completely when there’s discomfort. These practices are ideal for moving through conflict in a way that reinforces depth and intimacy in relationships.

Who this is for

  • Spooky, nerdy, deep-feeling folk who crave depth and a deeper sense of belonging in relationships

  • Anyone recovering from abuse, high-control religion, or harmful relationship patterns and committed to breaking generational cycles of harm

Hi, I’m Liz.

I’m so grateful you’re here, and I hope that our cobwebbed corner of the internet can bring some hope and inspiration to your spooky, big heart.

I’m a clinical psychotherapist, LPC-MHSP licensure supervisor, complex trauma & relationship specialist, founder of RR&R, and a survivor. My soul speaks cat, coffee, macabre, and sarcasm. Nearly two decades of supporting survivors, my entire career has revolved around this question: “How do we move from trauma-based relationship patterns to reciprocal, life-giving patterns in the deepest, most lasting way possible?”

I wanted to offer these connection + somatic practice sessions to our community as a reminder that although we’re contending with gigantic power-over tantrums, we are not alone. Our power is in our deeply relational (and wild) nature. I hope to meet and practice with you soon!
