On the journey from abuse to reciprocal relationships
You’re no stranger to gaslighting, narcissistic abuse, and otherwise relationship patterns that reinforce harm, power-over, confusion, shame, and disconnection. You’ve spent a lot of time worried that you’re the problem (you’ve certainly heard it enough times).
And while you’ve done a lot of work on yourself and feel juuust sturdy enough knowing that you’re not the problem (on your good days), you still feel caught in the sticky, spidery web of old patterns, worried that you can’t tell the difference between a red flag and old trauma, afraid that you’ll never be able to stop ruminating, and worse… terrified that these patterns are being passed to your kids.
FROM TOXIC TO RECIPROCAL RELATIONSHIP PATTERNS
Psychotherapy
Complex trauma healing for spooky, pissed off survivors & cycle-breakers
We get you; you are not alone.
If you’re like the beautiful, brave humans that come to see us, you might be:
On a deliberate journey of healing relationship patterns born from complex trauma (domestic violence, SA, IPV, high-control religion, purity culture, systemic oppression, and any relationship system that shaped your nervous system into chronic overwhelm, fawn, freeze, over-giving, disconnection, or fight/flight
Deep-feeling, sensitive, & longing for relationships that have capacity for depth, complexity, longevity, and true belonging that is NOT based in performance, perfection, or pressure to get it right all the time (imagine relationships where you can just be)
Uncomfortably hypervigilant of repeating relationship patterns… “Is this a red flag, or my old trauma?”… “what would be the ‘secure’ thing to do in this situation?”
Afraid of passing patterns along to your kids
Searching for an approach that blends somatic, root-cause trauma healing with an orientation toward collective justice, systemic liberation, and cultural trauma healing
Spooky, macabre, and an affinity for all things dark and strange, you might be craving a path that meets your need for depth, ancestral & ancient magic, and reconnection to the Earth, the seasons, and your wild, “four-footed” nature
You want your therapy to include leveled-up somatic healing & howling at the moon
Our clients are just like us. They’ve done a lot of inner healing, and it’s been helpful… but now | start talking about our approach, the bridge from your needs/where you’re at to our approach
TL;DR
Somatic + liberation-oriented + magic & sarcasm-friendly trauma therapy invested in the deepest roots of relationship pattern healing
“
The wild god points to your side.
You are bleeding heavily.
You have been bleeding for a long time,
Possibly since you were born.
There is a bear in the wound.
‘Why did you leave me to die?’
Asks the wild god and you say:
‘I was busy surviving.
The shops were all closed;
I didn’t know how. I’m sorry.’
Listen to them:
The fox in your neck and
The snakes in your arms and
The wren and the sparrow and the deer…
The great un-nameable beasts
In your liver and your kidneys and your heart…
There is a symphony of howling.
A cacophony of dissent.”
— Tom Hirons, Sometimes a Wild God
Our philosophy of healing
-
The way we do it, bridge to our philosophy, process, and into what they want. Deeply relational; grounded in somatic and attachment science, intrinsically connected with and shaped by our political environments, our philosophy includes our (lost, disconnected) relationship with land, lineage, historical and generational trauma, how our trauma (white sup) has turned into power-over, we hold a micro + macro lens and see that they are intrinsically connected, we hold micro with a macro lens; deep sense of belonging; invitation to come back to ritual
-
Our 1:1 and small group therapeutic work is held within our larger philosophy of healing (see above). As we work with attachment patterns, we consider that they’re not only shaped by our primary caregivers, but also by friends, teachers, our community, political system, our relationship with our ancestry and culture (or lack thereof), and our relationship with the land.
We utilize a blend of somatic methods, parts work, attachment work, art therapy, and nature-based methods to “talk” to your nervous system, letting it know that it might be safe now to

...the people who came to see me each week needed the world to change, and not just how they felt about it.
It's hard to heal when you're still being hurt.”
— Prentis Hemphill, What It Takes to Heal: How Transforming Ourselves Can Change the World

Me
When you’d rather howl at the moon than learn another skill
You feel in your bones that something’s missing from your inner healing work
You’ve likely been immersed in inner healing work for a while (and yes, we caught the eyeroll). You understand by now that you’ve had a lot of complex relational trauma, leaving your already-busy brain depleted from perfectionism, ruminating, over-compensating in relationships, and worried that these patterns will never resolve and/or be passed onto your kids.
From regulation skills to parts work, EMDR, Divine Feminine circles and more, you’ve done it all, and it’s worked pretty well!
The thoughts that taunt our clients’ busy brains at 2am…“Will I ever be able to stop ruminating?”
“Will I ever have relationships where they also do their own work and take accountability?”“Will anyone be able to match the depth I need?”“Will these patterns be passed down to my kids?”“…will I be alone?”
We hear you, and we see you. You are not alone.
really describe how they’re coming in; they’ve been through harmful relationships and want reciprocal, power-with relationship patterns)
they’re DEEP
not scratching the itch, you know there’s something deeper that can touch the deep longing, grief, longing for deep belonging | the destination — your bestie/partner, when they ask how are you, they actually mean it and are ready to dive deep (you’re deep, and you want relationships that can match that); imagine a partner who doesn’t run or blame you when there’s conflict, but stays in the room with accountability
(more detail about them, where they’re at; ground into genuine, me, communicate that I see them; more visceral descriptives / not actually getting the true, deep sense of belonging you crave ; western therapy overly-individualized, reinforces….
is therapy the end-all, will I be totally healed? — we don’t consider it the end-all-be-all, but that it should be held by trying to find community (we picture our ancestors, singing, laughing, crying by the fire, the community and land digesting the grief together; getting involved in collective action for the greater good.. we picture that therapy can be a part of a more complete picture, and this picture guides/holds our 1:1 work
We wanted a place for folx like us: macabre, deep feeling, in search of deep, true belonging, believe in fairies, want deep relational pattern healing in a way that’s grounded in science rigorous research AND more ancient, inherent intelligence outside of patriarchy (inner wisdom, visualizations, embodiment, connection with spirits, ancestors) + intrinsically connected with justice, liberation, and repair with earth/all; reciprocity, we are connected with all of life | western therapy based in highly individualized ways that reinforce purity/perfection, hierarchy, and disconnected ways of being in relation with self, other, nature | we hold psychotherapy within a framework that is decolonized, anchored in the fullness that individual healing is not separate from collective healing and action
You’re about to puke from “skill-building” and talking the problem to death without seeing real change. You’re looking for an approach where the somatic & attachment science is grounded in deeper waters of systemic change, returning to land and lineage, and coming home to lost cultural (& magical) practices.
