Vamp Camp

UNRAVEL BODILY SHAME & BUILD SEXUAL CONFIDENCE with TRAUMA-INFORMED BURLESQUE & BELLY DANCE

2-Part Dance Class Series: February 8th + 15th, 2026 | BEGINNER

Where burlesque & play meet nervous system regulation + resistance🔥

Dreamed up by a cranky somatic psychotherapist and a wayward burlesque/fire/belly dance fusion artist, Vamp Camp™ is the place where trauma repair meets liberation & wickedly fun movement.

We see body-attunement as the ultimate form of resistance.

Since trauma is stored in the body, it can impact our sexual function, sensual pleasure, ability to connect, and to know our boundaries, needs, & desires.

With trauma (including colonization & patriarchy) we often want to stay small, disappear, or people-please when it comes to the body instead of feeling connected, passionate, and free.

To make this work accessible and fun, we thought, “what if we blend somatic + nervous system healing skills with burlesque and bellydance..? And play with makeup, crafts, and ritual??”

So we did 😈

Because trauma healing isn’t all breathing skills.

At Vamp Camp™, our mission is to help folks unravel sexual & bodily shame + feel more comfy in their skin, one bump ‘n’ grind at a time.

We’re relaxing the nervous system while snake-arming and belly-rolling.

Sometimes it’s a day retreat. Sometimes a dance class series. Maybe one day a midnight goth ball in an old cemetery…?

However we show up, we can’t wait to hip-circle our way to pleasure and liberation with you ❤️‍🔥

Vamp Camp may be a perfect fit if you’re…

  • Recovering from purity culture (or any high-control relationship system) and looking for an accessible, fun way to connect with your body and sexuality

  • Looking to learn super fun dance technique and choreography in an intentional, grounded, progressive space (doesn’t have to be about trauma!)

  • Wanting to unravel internalized patriarchal & high-control bullsh*t from your tissues through liberated movement

  • Wanting to feel more comfortable with yourself and in your skin; you want to make friends with your sexual, seductive, temptress self

  • Looking for a mature + SO-FUN space to make new friends

Magdalene 2-Part Dance Class Series

Learn Burlesque & Belly Dance Fusion Choreography Under Our Body-Liberated Guide, Mary Magdalene

Sundays, February 8th + 15th

We see Mary Magdalene as the ultimate Guide for autonomy and body liberation. Her texts — hidden from history by a domination-based religious regime — invite us into a knowing that no one has authority over us, spiritually or otherwise, and that connecting to our body is the ultimate process of resistance and discovering our truth.

The more connected we are to our bodies, the less controllable we are.

Our power is in knowing our bodies. What we like, what we don’t. What we need vs. what feels harmful. What turns us on vs. when we’ve had ENOUGH.

2-Part Dance Class Series

Unravel Bodily Shame & Build Sexual Confidence Through Nervous System Regulation Skills, Burlesque, and Belly Dance

Over three Sundays, we’ll gather in an intimate dance studio with the following format:

Somatic Grounding

Class will begin with polyvagal education + skills to help the nervous system come into a state of safety. Plus, Mary Magalene mythos chat and processing.

Movement

Next, we’ll dive into some juicy burlesque/belly dance technique & choreography to connect with the parts of ourselves wishing to be liberated.

Somatic Skills

Throughout class, we’ll be guided to gently pause to notice our bodily signals. This increases our capacity to be connected with our truth and inner wisdom.

Last Class BONUS

Our final class includes intentional time for a make-up & body adornment ritual, capped off with a final, intimate performance (just us!) of the full choreography!

What We Stand For

As practitioners of body liberation, we also stand for liberation and autonomy in all of its forms.

We make every effort within Vamp Camp™ to be anti-racist, anti-ableist, gender affirming, queer-allied, anti-purity culture, anti-fundamentalist, and vegan/cruelty-free. We strive to maintain a warm, welcoming, inclusive space for all bodies, sexual orientations, faith traditions, and cultural backgrounds.

We hold deep space for complexity, nuance, differences, and the relational process of rupture and repair, knowing that freeing ourselves from systems of oppression will not be clean or easy. However, any type of abusive, bullying, or oppressive behavior will never be tolerated at Vamp Camp™.

*A note on being vegan/cruelty-free: Including animal bodies in the fight for liberation is of the highest importance to us. We are currently replacing our inventory with cruelty-free options. Thank you for your patience as we make replacements.
